Australian Dog Grooming School

Student Enrolment Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Australian Dog Grooming School.

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Australian Dog Grooming School ("ADGS", "we", "our", "us") and all
students enrolling in our courses, workshops, private training sessions and educational programs.

By enrolling in any course or training session with ADGS, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Enrolment
Enrolment into any Australian Dog Grooming School course is confirmed only once the required deposit or full upfront course fee has been received.

Submitting an enquiry or enrolment form does not guarantee a place within a course.

Course places are limited and allocated on a first paid, first served basis.

2. Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable.

Deposits secure your position within your chosen course and enable Australian Dog Grooming School to allocate trainers, facilities, equipment and student dogs.

3. Course Fees
The remaining balance of your course fees must be paid by the due date advised by Australian Dog Grooming School.

Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your enrolment.

4. Promotions

Promotional pricing, discounts and complimentary bonuses are governed by the Australian Dog Grooming School Promotional Terms & Conditions.

Students acknowledge that promotional offers vary throughout the year and are determined by the date their booking is confirmed.

Future promotions cannot be applied retrospectively to existing bookings.

  • Promotional offers vary throughout the year.

  • Eligibility is determined by the date the booking is confirmed.

  • Promotional offers cannot be applied retrospectively.

  • Australian Dog Grooming School is under no obligation to extend future promotional offers to existing bookings.

Supporting documentation, such as a medical certificate, may be required.

Where a transfer or rescheduling request is approved due to illness, an administration fee of $100 per missed training day will apply.

Upskill Courses
Due to the specialised nature and limited availability of Upskill Courses, missed classes generally cannot be transferred or replaced in future courses.

Where possible, our Administration Team will work with you to discuss any available options.

8. Student Withdrawal & Re-Enrolment
If a student chooses to withdraw from, discontinue or otherwise not proceed with their enrolled course, all amounts paid to Australian Dog Grooming School in relation to that enrolment are non-refundable, including the deposit and any course fees already paid.

Withdrawal from a course does not entitle the student to transfer, defer, reschedule or carry forward their enrolment, course fees or deposit to another course date.

If the student later wishes to undertake the course, they will be required to re-enrol as a new student, subject to availability, and pay the full course fee applicable at the time of the new enrolment, including a new deposit.

Any amounts paid toward the student's previous enrolment will not be credited or transferred to the new enrolment.

This applies where the decision to withdraw or discontinue the course is made by the student, after training has commenced, except where otherwise required by law or where Australian Dog Grooming School expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

9. Course Changes by Australian Dog Grooming School
Australian Dog Grooming School reserves the right to amend course dates or daily timetables where reasonably necessary.

Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.

If ADGS is required to postpone or cancel a course before commencement, students will be offered either:

  • a transfer to another available course; or

  • a refund of monies paid where applicable.

10. Course Attendance
Students are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions.
If you are running late or unable to attend, you must notify Administration by calling or texting 0493 433 222.

Emails and social media messages may not be monitored during class hours and should not be relied upon for attendance notifications.

11. Missed Training
Australian Dog Grooming School cannot guarantee replacement practical sessions for missed classes.
Any catch-up training is entirely at the school's discretion and subject to trainer availability.

12. Competency

Repeated lateness, leaving early, missed training hours or unexplained absences may affect your ability to successfully complete the course, as students are required to demonstrate the necessary level of practical competency before completing the course.

If missed classes or incomplete training hours result in a student not meeting the required competency level, the School may require the student to complete additional training, practical sessions and/or assessment time.

Any additional training required as a result of missed attendance, incomplete hours or the student not yet demonstrating the required competency may incur additional fees, which will be payable by the student.

Attendance alone does not guarantee successful completion of the course. Students must demonstrate the required level of competency to successfully complete their training.

13. Online Learning Access
Access to the online learning component is not provided until all course fees due at that time have been received. Students who pay their course fees in full upfront will receive access once payment has been confirmed. Students paying a deposit will receive access only after the remaining course balance has been paid in full by the specified due date. No exceptions will be made, and access will not be granted while any outstanding course fees remain unpaid.

14. Health & Safety
Students must follow all health and safety instructions issued by trainers and staff.

Students must use equipment safely and handle all dogs in a calm, humane and professional manner.

Any behaviour considered unsafe may result in removal from practical activities.

Students are expected to:

  • Treat staff, trainers, fellow students and dog owners respectfully.

  • Follow trainer instructions.

  • Behave professionally.

  • Maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Respect school property and equipment.
